If you’re heading out for an early game of golf but know you need to power up your swings, visit Rowena’s Clubhouse restaurant. Breakfast starts at 8 with a menu that features so many options it would be literally impossible not to find something that strikes your fancy. They have lighter options to give you just a bit of sweetness in the morning like their Granola and Berries Parfait—featuring house-made granola, seasonal berries, and chia vanilla yogurt. Or, if you’re looking for something a bit weightier, they have their Breakfast Golf Cart Sandwich. It is a potato roll with fried egg, smoked ham, and roasted garlic aioli with smashed rosemary potatoes. Improve your game by focusing on the holes out on the course after you’ve filled the hole in your stomach!

 

 

Whether you’ve just finished your morning 18 or are just getting ready to start an afternoon out on the course, the Clubhouse has an all-day menu that is sure to satisfy. To name a few, they have their Short Rib Beef Dip with horseradish mayo, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese.  Or, you can try out their BBQ Sockeye Salmon Burger on a potato bun dressed up with caramelized onions and aged cheddar. In the mood for Japanese? The Clubhouse makes an incredible Katsu Chicken Ramen in shitake broth topped with miso, pickled nori, and cabbage. Everything on their menu is full to the brim with flavour and packed full of seasonal local ingredients.

 

 

Looking for a way to spend a night with an extra special someone? Rowena’s Inn features special events called their “Step Back in Time Dining”. Important to note that the inn is not available during regular hours of operation; this event is the only way to dine in the inn itself so if you want to enjoy the atmosphere you’ll want to look ahead to their event calendar. If you crave a night of 1920’s ambiance and the opportunity to dine fireside with your loved one, book a table fast as these events are sold out quickly. The chef at Rowena’s inn prepares a seasonally-focused, gourmet meal which means that the menu is always changing. Does the idea of a gourmet meal under the stars sound even better to you? You may be hesitant to believe that Rowena’s Inn actually offers even more than what was stated above! They host two other major dining events: The Long Table on the First Tee and Sunday brunch at the Clubhouse. These are unfortunately paused for the moment but are scheduled to potentially reopen in 2022 (if the circumstances allow it) so be very excited for that!

 

 

Not in the mood for eating? Not to worry, Rowena’s Inn On The River is the place to stay a night (or more) if you’d like to get a few days away. All the rooms at the historic inn were originally the bedrooms of the Pretty Family. Today, each of the six rooms has been named after one of the children. Each room is furnished with unique antique furniture and offers views of either the river, the estate, or the forest. They are cozy, chique, and guaranteed to grant you a sense of peace. 

 

 

If you’d like to witness the spectacular events of mother nature, Rowena’s Inn is the ideal place to do so in the Fall. As salmon travel upstream to spawn, bald eagles flock to the river in droves in the hopes of catching a scrumptious meal of their own. You can dine fire or patio-side at the Clubhouse and watch the eagles through their live cameras or head out to walk the trails designed to give you the best views without being intrusive on this amazing event.
