Mission's southern boundary is the mighty Fraser River. The river is home to some of the best sturgeon fishing in North America. Sturgeon in the area are known to exceed 1200 lbs and over 14 feet in length. Sport fishing in general has become one of the more popular activities for local residents, with anglers enjoying fishing for salmon, sturgeon, steelhead, trout, and char.
